Who is this service for?

AIDG eDesign services are a fun and affordable way to have a professional involved in designing your space without the cost of a full-service interior design project. eDesign is perfect for:

  • Someone who is furnishing a new house and doesn’t know where to start.

  • Those who are wanting a new look to their current space, but want need the guidance from a designer

  • Looking to make changes updates to their spaces

With eDesign, once you have your final presentation and the design deck is received, the next steps are up to you. You can buy everything online at once, or use it as a starting point and find similar pieces yourself over time as your budget+ time  allows.

How much work do I need to do?

One of the most significant distinctions between full-service design and eDesign is the level of involvement required from you, the client. This difference is what makes eDesign more cost-effective. At the project's outset, you will invest time in sourcing inspiration, taking photographs, and submitting your room measurements. Upon receiving your completed design, you will also be responsible for product procurement and any necessary installation or implementation.

How long does it take for me to get my final design?

After consultation is completed with all measurements, photos received and contract is signed we’ll email a Welcome Aboard email with a projected Presentation Day.  Design Development process is 4-6 weeks (dependent upon space). During Presentation Day a full overview of the new design is discussed and open to questions and concerns. If revisions are requested, updates will be made in 1 week and then you’ll receive your final design deck the following week. On average, the entire process can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks contingent upon project scale and our work schedule.

Are there any extra costs or hidden or undisclosed fees in this process?

Good Question and the simple answer is IT DEPENDS. Our flat fee package pricing encompasses all the deliverables specified in the product listing. Following a discovery call, if we establish that your project exceeds the scope of the package process, we will contact you to explore alternative options and, if necessary, provide a full refund of the package price.

Your final shopping list may include To-The-Trade items, which is an option available to our eDesign clients. To-The-Trade items are purchased through AIDG trade accounts. Purchases made through our accounts are either drop-shipped directly to the client or shipped to our receiver (based on the vendor). Clients are responsible for all delivery fees, shipping fees, inspection fees, freight fees, and taxes.

What is a Receiver?

A receiver handles the receiving of items in a warehouse and ensures that the shipments are inspected, sorted and stored in the warehouse until the time of coordinated delivery. Most vendors require FFE be delivered directly to the receiver before receiving in your home as a form of quality control. If something shows up damaged or incorrect the receiver acts as a mutual liaison between the vendor and designer. Receivers are 3rd parties and they charge a small/fir fee for receiving items, storage and delivery. In an effort to minimize the cost, once product has been received and inspected we ordinarily have them deliver the item asap (the sooner the better). The receivers will also not only deliver for you, but they also assemble any FFE that requires it.

What is FFE?

FFE, or FF&E is an abbreviation for Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment.

How will we communicate regarding the project?

Communication is extremely important during your design process. All communication will be through email, scheduled phone calls, video meetings and or our crm honeybook..

What is slack is a messaging application used for communication. Its a more efficient way to correspond than email and texting throughout the design process.

Who is responsible for procurement?

If the Hybrid-Upgrade package is selected, your designer is responsible for procuring all approved goods on behalf of the client.  handling the new items, organizing delivery and installation

How long will it take to get my furniture?

Allow 3-6 weeks for furniture to be delivered from the vendor to the receiver. The receiver will do full inspection and scheduled white glove service delivery to residence. Anything outside of the timeframe the client will be notified via email or slack.

Who manages the special tradesmen needed for the project?

Once a contract is signed with a tradesman your designer will manage the special trades throughout the project from start to finish. Your designer will provide the details needed to execute the design.

Who pays for the special tradesmen needed for the project?

All special tradesmen are paid directly from the client. Unless the specialty job is added to the proposal and the proposal is approved and paid by the client. The designer will then disperse those funds to the tradesman to complete the job.

Do you suggest paint colors as part of the package?
Absolutely. Because we’re not able to see what a color would  look well in your space, we'll recommend 2-3 paint samples that will be included in your design deck.
